Fort Rensselaer aka Van Alstyne Homestead
The Van Alstyne Homestead at 4 Moyer Street is not only the oldest building in Canajoharie, it is THE original building in Canajoharie, built by Martin Van Alstyne, in all probablity sometime before 1749. Known as Fort Rensselaer, it plays host to the Rensselaer Club. Concerts, meetings and receptions are held here.
Directions: From the Dummy Light in Wagner Square, take a left onto Montgomery Street under the Memorial Clock, then a right onto Moyer Street.
